Whose Buy Is It? is made by PacketPirate (Russell Perkins).
Whose Buy Is It? keeps track of whose turn it is to buy the round, whether that's coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
Where your data lives
The group names, people's names, avatars and buy history you enter are stored on your phone. The app never sends them to us or anyone else.
Your phone's own backups
If your phone backs up its apps to your Google account or to iCloud, that backup can include this app's data. It stays in your own account, and we never see it.
Backup files
The app only makes a backup file when you tap Backup (Settings → Data management), and saves it wherever you choose, such as your phone's files or a cloud drive. We never receive it. Restoring reads a file you pick.
Sharing the app
The "Share Whose Buy Is It?" banner opens your phone's own share menu with a short message about the app and a link to it. Nothing is sent unless you send it, and only to the people you choose.
Feedback
Send feedback (Settings → Help) opens your email app with a new message to us. Under your message it adds the app's version and build number and your phone's system version (and, on Android, its make and model), to help us fix problems. You can delete these before sending. We use emails you send us only to reply to you and to fix what you tell us about.
Deleting your data
Delete a group in its settings, or uninstall the app to remove everything from your phone. Backup files you saved, and your phone's own backups, are deleted wherever you keep them.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
This website
Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any web host, it processes your IP address to deliver the pages and to protect the site from attacks.
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.
Google Analytics
If you choose "That's fine" in the cookie banner, this website also uses Google Analytics cookies to see how people find it. Google Analytics records the pages you visit, your rough location, and your device and browser type, and Google processes this data for us. If you choose "No thanks", Google Analytics never loads. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we take that as "No thanks" and don't ask, unless you choose "That's fine" in Cookie settings yourself. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

If this policy changes, for example when optional cloud features arrive, we will update this page and the app's store listing before the change ships.
